My background in Web design is long and varied. I have been working as a graphic designer since 1990. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 45 years, graduated from Cornish College of the Arts with a BA in Graphic Design in 1992. My extensive background in Web design, software design, and traditional print design comes from two years in a design firm, 5 years at a software company, 4 years at a Web design company and 15 years freelancing. I have designed, built and maintained dozens of sites. Below are some examples.

Completed January 2006, this site was built based off an existing site design the client liked and utilized both their own photos and stock photography. This site's elegant and contemporary look appealed to the residents' design aesthetics. I collaborated with Cube Free Media, who implemented a site maintenance Admin tool for the residents.

This world renowned, stroke rehabilitation expert, needed to take her business to a new level and breathe new life into her Web site and print collateral. Since November 2004, together we've designed several flyers and brochures, retooled her Web site, launched an online newsletter, reworked her DVD packaging and teaching manuals thus giving her business a consistent look and feel through a total design renovation.

Originally just a single-page Web site for growing Port Townsend yoga studio. The site launched May, 2006, coordinated with a grand re-opening was a huge success. A new, multi-paged site, was launched in January 2008.
Western Surgical Association

Site design/build completed fall of 2002, this site is simple and clean and appeals to the surgeon's conservative, to-the-point, design aesthetics. What you don't see is the "Members Only" section where members can search a database of members, sign up for their annual meeting, etc. There is more to this site than meets the eye.

Back in 2004, this up-and-coming Port Townsend construction company was eager to have an internet presence and to take advantage of online marketing through a comprehensive Web site complete with photo gallery of work and helpful hints in selecting and working with a contractor. In late 2007, we updated the site to promote their new "green" sustainable building practices and showcase the new homes they built in the last 4 years.

Originally designed and built in 2002, the Web site worked well for four years, but in the ever-changing world of interior and retail design, this repeat customer, needed a complete redesign/rebuild in 2006. The new trend in Web design, I'm finding, is clients who know exactly how they want their site to look. This client found a site they loved and asked me to recreate it with their own touches added to the design and layout. Designed for high-end corporate decision makers who are contemplating spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on retail design, it relies heavily on photos to illustrate their skills and services.

A more extensive site including art gallery, custom framing options, restoration before and afters, events and openings, and posters and prints available was created in the summer of 2005.

American Illustrator, William Ladd Taylor, was my maternal grandmothers' uncle. My cousin in Pennsylvania and I put this site together (with some help of my Grandfathers notes) in 2005 to commemorate his immense body of work. For 30 years his paintings were published in the Ladies Home Journal. His art and dedication to his craft are great inspiration to me. Some prints are still available for sale.
